Our Mission

OCNH Ministries is dedicated to developing, training and inspiring individuals to form teams of volunteers from area churches to bring the love of our Lord to care center residents.

Our Vision 

Our goal is to establish nursing home ministry teams that will reach out to care centers across America with the love of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Getting Started 

With the support of church leadership, OCNH Ministries will suggest and implement recruitment options for volunteers. Once volunteers are in place we will schedule a “Training and Team Building Workshop”. This workshop will consist of nursing home ministry and outreach training. We also help assign each volunteer a specific task with the team.

Our Support Continues 

Once the team is in place, OCNH Ministries will work along side the team leader in the selection of a nursing care facility. We will also be available to schedule and attend the introduction of team leaders and Activity Directors at the care facility. A ministry representative will accompany the team for their first few “Praise and Worship” sessions and when the team is finally up and running we will stop in periodically to lend support and problem solve as necessary.

Today, OCNH Ministries has numerous volunteer teams in place throughout southeast Michigan. We would like to add to those numbers by supporting the development of a nursing home ministry team at your church.
